With Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra heading to Hollywood, many Bollywood celebs are also eyeing on making their debut in the West. However, Aamir Khan is not interested in the same.
Recently, the actor spoke about working in Hollywood. He said, “I don’t have any interest in going to the US and working there. I am totally interested in working for Indian films. I have a relationship with the audience here for last 25-26 years and I cherish and give a lot of value to it.”
“But that doesn’t mean it is a bad idea to entertain the world audience. I just don’t have that interest. It’s not my career graph that I will try and work for doing international films,” Aamir added.
The ‘PK’ actor further continued, “But it doesn’t mean that I am adamant on not doing any international film. If I get something interesting I will do it. There are no boundaries for creative purpose. If I get an offer from Japan and if I like it, I will do it.”

When Aamir was asked about films like ‘The Jungle Book’ earning a lot of money at the box office and if it is a threat for Indian cinema, he said, “I don’t think Indian cinema has any threat from Hollywood. We should fear and be afraid of ourselves because if we make bad films then we will automatically lose out on our audience. I don’t think it is possible for anyone to come and eat into our business.”
Aamir is currently riding high with the success of ‘Dangal’ which has turned out to be the highest grossing film in the history of Indian cinema. The actor will next be seen in ‘Secret Superstar’ in which he has an extended cameo.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
