Aamir Khan reveals the one similarity between his character in Laal Singh Chaddha and PK

Aamir Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir will be sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. After the trailer was released, many compared his character in Laal Singh Chaddha with his character in PK. Aamir was also trolled for the same. Now, during a recent media interaction, Aamir addressed the comparisons.

The actor said, “I think you all should watch the film and then decide. I will tell you why, because there is one similarity in Laal and PK and that is innocence. Laal is innocent and so is PK. This is a very strong quality which both of them possess.”

Aamir added, “So, in the trailer you might not be able to see the difference which you will see in the whole performance. Toh jab aap Laal ka poora performance dekhenge toh I am hoping ki dono characters aapko bohot innocent lagein but woh aapko alag kirdar lagega, who aapko PK nahi lagega.”

Recently, Aamir urged fans to watch his upcoming film as he reacted to ‘Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha’ trend on Twitter. The actor told PTI, “That Boycott Bollywood… Boycott Aamir Khan… Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha… I feel sad also because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe I am someone who doesn’t like India… In their hearts they believe that… And that’s quite untrue. I really love the country. That’s how I am. It is rather unfortunate if some people feel that way.” He then requested fans to not boycott his films.

For the uninitiated, the boycott trend regarding his film began after a section of Twitter users dug out his old interview bits, where he said that his ex-wife Kiran Rao had suggested they move countries because of ‘growing intolerance’.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of the Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’ which starred Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The film is slated to release on 11 August, 2022.
