Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan Productions reacts to reports of film release being postponed

Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starring film Laal Singh Chaddha is scheduled to release on Baisakhi 2022. The film is based on the Hollywood movie The Forrest Gump, featuring Tom Hanks. Till today, the release date of the long-making Aamir Khan starrer has been postponed a few times due to the pandemic. However, recent reports suggest that the makers are planning to postpone the release of Laal Singh Chaddha once again. Amidst the reports, Aamir Khan’s production house issued a statement reacting to the reports of Laal Singh Chaddha release being postponed.

Aamir Khan Productions issued the statement and clarified that Laal Singh Chaddha will release on the scheduled date. It will continue to release in theatres on April 14, Baisakhi 2022.

The statement reads: “Aamir Khan Productions’ Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film. Produced by Viacoml8 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film has been adapted by Atul Kulkarni. (sic)”

For the unversed, reports surfaced that after being postponed several times, the Aamir Khan film’s release has been pushed once again. It was also reported that KGF: Chapter 2 is also going to be postponed.

It was only recently that Kareena and Aamir made it to the headlines. A video of Aamir gifting Kapoor a saree. Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, it marks Kareena and Aamir’s second collaboration together after 3 Idiots. The movie also features Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in key roles.
