Jammu and Kashmir make for an excellent backdrop for filming. As a result, several films have been shot in this scenic state. Recently, The state administration has also created the Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 in order to encourage filmmakers to make films in Kashmir.
On Thursday evening, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha announced the new policy in the presence of actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani at the Sheri Kashmir International Convention Centre. According to reports, the goal is to turn the state into a filming paradise by providing adequate facilities and a safe environment for filmmakers.
The government has prepared equipment, location and talent directories, as well as a single-window approval process. The new policy also intends to provide employment chances for a large number of people in the area.

Recently, pics of Aamir’s meeting with JK Lt Governor had surfaced on social media. The actor was accompanied by his estranged wife Kiran Rao and son Azad.

On the work front, he is currently filming in Srinagar with Naga Chaitanya for his next film, Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is a remake of the Tom Hanks-led film Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks in the title role.
