Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor to come together for Anurag Kashyap’s directorial next?

Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his next Laal Singh Chaddha but if the latest reports are to be believed then he has another project in the lineup which will star Ranbir Kapoor and the film is being developed by Aamir Khan Productions. If the latest buzz is anything to go by then, the project will be a visual effect heavy subject and seems like Anurag Basu has been brought on board for directing the film.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. While the basic idea has been conceptualized by AKP aka. Aamir Khan Production, its Basu, who has come on board to weave a screenplay with the inhouse team of actors. The movie is in a very nascent stage at the moment, in-fact, the duo of AK and RK will decide on doing it only once they are absolutely satisfied with the final output.”

It will be a high VFX project and the report said Aamir and Ranbir are in no hurry to hit the ground running as a lot of time will be spent on the writing of the film post which there will be a previsualization stage, “It’s a high on VFX project, and hence an extremely risky preposition. Being the perfectionist that Aamir is, he wants to have a visual blueprint of what the film would look like. If everything falls in the right place, the film will take off sometime next year. Right now, it’s in a very very nascent stage, with the two actors agreeing in principle on the idea of coming together on one of India’s biggest cinematic spectacles.”

Anurag has always spoken highly of Aamir Khan as he is his huge fan, the director has worked with Ranbir in Barfi and Jagga Jasoos. Well, his next directorial is in the pre-production stage.
