Aamir Khan to reunite with Andaz Apna Apna director Rajkumar Santoshi after 30 years for his 2024 release – Reports

It was in 1994 when Mr. Perfectionist, aka Aamir Khan, and Rajkumar Santoshi teamed up together. Yes, we are speaking of Andaz Apna Apna, a film that earned the position of a cult classic. Along with Aamir, the film also starred Salman Khan in the lead. Andaz Apna Apna is still remembered as one of the most enjoyed and cherished films in the Indian cinema.

Now, the fans are in for a delight as the duo are reuniting again. They will be joining hands after a period of 30 years.

Aamir Khan to reunite with Rajkumar Santoshi

A source close to Pinkvilla has said, “Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi have been discussing a subject for a while now and things have finally fallen into place.  Aamir has loved what’s developed by Santoshi and has been sitting with him to work on all the aspects over the last few months.”

Currently, the film is in pre-production and will hit the floors next year in January. Reportedly, the film targets a release date during the occasion of Christmas 2024. The project will also be his 16th film under his banner Aamir Khan Productions.

 It also added, “Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi have inked a two-film deal. While Aamir has committed himself to act in the first of the two films, the second one will go on floors later in 2025. Aamir was taken aback by both the subjects and has happily associated himself with the director known for cults like Ghayal, Ghatak, Damini, Khakhee, Bhagat Singh among others.”

Mr. Perfectionist is surely on a roll as he is producing a couple of films, including the remake of Champions and Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Apart from these two, he also has projects like Lapata Ladies and Pritam Pyaar in the pipeline.
