Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan made an impressive debut with Siddharth P Malhotra’s Maharj which was released on Netflix. The film was mired in controversy before release but eventually garnered a positive response. At a recent event, Aamir Khan expressed how he was stressed ahead of son Junaid’s debut but now he is extremely proud of him.

At the recent launch event for the new song Kooriye, performed by debutant Raj Pandit, Aamir Khan expressed his pride in Junaid’s achievement. The Laal Singh Chadha star said, “When Junaid’s film Maharaj was released, I was very stressed whether people would like his work or not. Junaid has worked really hard for himself and he never accepted any help from me in any way ever. So I’m very proud and happy that he made it on his own terms in his own way and you know and I can see that.”

Amid the success of Maharaj, Aamir and Reena threw a success bash for film’s team. The pictures of same were shared by director Siddharth on his social media. As per reports, Imran Khan with Lekha Washington also attended the celebrations.
About Maharaj
The historical drama, Maharaj, is based on one of the greatest legal battles in Indian history: the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case. It was directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment. The film stars debutante Junaid Khan alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey in pivotal roles and features a special appearance by Sharvari.
On the work front, Junaid Khan has a rom-com with Khushi Kapoor. The flick has gone on floors and is a remake of Tamil movie. Apart from this he will be sharing screen space with Sai Pallavi.
