Wondering when Aamir Khan will return to films? Actor REVEALS

After the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan announced that he has decided to take one-and-a-half­­-year break from acting. Aamir had revealed that he wanted to spend time with his family. Since announcing break, Aamir has been enjoying his life to the fullest. Recently, Aamir attended the trailer launch of Carry On Jatta 3. At the event, Aamir was asked about his acting break. The actor stated that he will back when he’s ‘emotionally ready’.

Aamir spills the beans…

As quoted by Hindustan Times, Aamir Khan said, “Since you all must be curious, let me quickly give you an answer. I haven’t decided to do any film as of now. I want to spend time with my family right now. I’m feeling good about it because that’s what I want to do right now. I’ll do a film when I’m emotionally ready, for sure.”

Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha which released last year. The actor starred opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in the same. The film tanked at the box office when it released in theatres, but received good response later when it released on Netflix. Post Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir made a special appearance in Revathy’s Salaam Venky. Fans loved Aamir and Kajol’s onscreen reunion.

Earlier this year, Aamir opened up about his decision to take a break from acting at Shobha De’s book launch event in Delhi. He said, “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that, that nothing else happens in my life. Which is why I decided to take a break. I was supposed to do a film called Champions after Laal Singh Chaddha. It’s a wonderful script and a beautiful story. It’s a very heartwarming and lovely film, but I wanted to take a break. I want to be my family, my mom, and my kids. I have been working for 35 years, and I have been single-mindedly focused on my work… And I feel it’s unfair to the people close to me.”
