Aamir Khan – Rohit Shetty rally around an ailing Kalpana Lajmi

Filmmaker Kalpana Lajmi who has given gems such as Rudaali and Daman, has been diagnosed with a Malignant tumour in her kidney. Lajmi partner to famous Assamese singer Bhupen Hazarika is being given financial aid of 1 lakh by the Government of Assam for her dialysis that she has to undergo thrice a week.

Now superstar Aamir Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty too are helping out Kalpana Lajmi with her medical expenses. Aamir Khan has covered the singers medical bills for the next six months, on the other hand Rohit Shetty has contributed around 2 lakh rupees.

Thanking the stars Kalpana Lajmi said, “Till the last day of my life, I will have to undergo dialysis three times a week and it doesn’t come cheap. But thanks to the generous Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran (Rao), my dialysis bills have been covered for the next six months.”
