As we all are aware, Maharashtra is known for facing droughts regularly and it quite badly affects farmers. The ‘PK’ actor has time and again raised his voice for socially relevant issues.

On the work front, Aamir was last seen in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. This magnum opus also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles. Despite a bumper opening, it ended up tanking at the box office in India as well as overseas.

Aamir’s next project is ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, a remake of the 1994 Hollywood blockbuster ‘Forrest Gump’, which featured Tom Hanks in the lead role. The film will be penned by Atul Kulkarni. And it will be directed by Advait Chandan of ‘Secret Superstar fame’.
