We all know that the three Khans of Bollywood, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, are regarded as the superstars. The names themselves would be enough to make a film hit. However, the disappointing collections of Salman’s ‘Tubelight’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ have changed everything.
Recently, Aamir Khan was present at the launch of a song from his upcoming flick ‘Secret Superstar’. The actor was asked about this new trend of moviegoers opting for content-driven films over star power. Aamir said, “To say that the trend has changed is a very big statement, but I think there are ups and downs in every creative person’s life. We all try our best to do our work, we try to make sure that everyone likes the films that we make. But at times we succeed, at times we fail. I think we should not get fazed by that. We should continue to do what we believe in.”
“And I think whenever you (media) talk about stars, it’s wrong to mention just the three names (Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir). I think there are many talented stars who have a huge following. Akshay (Kumar) released a new film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which is being loved by everyone. All of us are there, we are trying to do good work. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we don’t. I don’t think it should directly reflect on the immediate stardom of a person,” he added.
Well, we quite agree with Aamir. (Also Read: Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is all ready to make his acting debut)
Aamir will next be seen on the big screen in ‘Secret Superstar’ in which he has an extended cameo. The movie stars ‘Dangal’ fame, Zaira Wasim in the lead role and it is slated to release on October 19, 2017.
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
