Aamir Khan-starrer Rakesh Sharma’s biopic titled ‘Salute’?

There have been many reports about astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic starring Aamir Khan in the lead. While we all are awaiting an official announcement of the film, it was earlier reported that the movie has been titled as ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’. However, according to a leading tabloid, the film has been now titled as ‘Salute’.

The story behind the film’s previous title goes like this way. It is said that after staying for 27 days, 21 hours and 40 minutes in space, when Rakesh returned to earth, the then Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, had asked him what did India look like from outer space. To which Rakesh replied, “Saare jahan se achcha.”

‘Salute’ is said to be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under his banner Roy Kapur Films. We are sure that Aamir, who is known for experimenting with his looks for his roles, will really surprise us with his look of an astronaut. Currently, Aamir is preparing for YRF’s ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. The lead actress of the film is yet-to-be finalized, but there have been reports of Shraddha Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Alia Bhatt being considered for the film. It was said that while Aditya Chopra wants Vaani in the film Aamir is keen on having Alia. Recently, it was reported that Shraddha has also given a look test for the movie.
