Aamir Khan jokes about getting married the third time, says, “I am 59 now, mushkil lag raha hai”

Recently, Aamir Khan spoke about the possibility of getting married for the third time. He shares he is not a loner and likes companionship. For those unversed, Aamir was first married to Reena Dutta. They ended their marriage of 16 years in 2002. He got married to Kiran Rao for the second time on December 28, 2005, before announcing his separation in 2021.

Talking to actress Rhea Chakraborty on her podcast Chapter 2, Aamir was quizzed if he plans to get married for the third time. To this the Laal Singh Chaddha actor said, “I am 59 now, where will I get married again, mushkil lag raha hai (looks difficult). I have so many relationships in my life right now, I have reconnected with my family, my kids, etc. I am very happy just being with people who are close to me. I am working towards being a better person.”

However, during the interview, Aamir also mentioned that he cannot be a loner in life. “I don’t like living alone,” said Aamir. “I need a partner. I am not a loner; I like companionship. I am very close to both my ex-wives Reena and Kiran; we are like one family. Life is unpredictable, so how can we trust it?”

Aamir Khan is currently working on his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. It is being directed by RS Prasanna. Apart from Aamir, the film also stars Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary. “This film will make you laugh; it will entertain you. But the theme is the same (as Taare Zameen Par), that’s why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme,” Aamir said about Sitaare Zameen Par at an event while announcing the film.
