‘Puneeth Rajkumar won us all with his warmth, sincerity and passion’, Aamir Khan pays tribute to the Power Star

Actor Aamir Khan mourned the death of Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. In his tribute, Aamir wrote, “won us all with his warmth, sincerity and passion”. The Kannada superstar passed away on Friday (October 29) due to cardiac arrest. He was 46. Puneeth Rajkumar was fondly called Appu by his fans and well wishers.

Aamir shared a statement on his production house’s Instagram page that read: “Appu entertained us through his films, but above all else, he won us all with his warmth, sincerity and passion. Thank you Puneeth, for all the love that you showered on all of us. May your soul rest in peace, dear friend. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family”.

Puneeth’s cremation was supposed to take place today at Bengaluru’s Kanteerava studio. But it has been postponed to Sunday as his daughter reached Bengaluru from the US a bit late and also some of his ardent fans are yet to pay their last respects to the late actor.

Not only Sandalwood, but celebs from other film industries are also heartbroken by Puneeth’s untimely demise. Even PM Narendra Modi condoled his demise. Today, stars like Yash, Jr NTR, Prabhudeva, Rana Daggubati and others paid their last respects to the actor.

Puneeth Rajkumar was the son of veteran actor Rajkumar. He is survived by wife Ashwini Revanth and two daughters. The actor donated his eyes too. The cremation will take place with full state honours.
