Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao says Zaira should have raised her voice in the aircraft

Dangal actress Zaira Wasim has been in news ever since she posted a video of her breaking down after a Delhi-Mumbai flight. The actress claimed that her co-passenger molested her and she even went on to record a bit of the incident too while she was on the plane. Post that the Mumbai Police got into action and urged Zaira to file a police complaint against the accused.

The accused is now in Police custody and hasn’t managed to receive bail.

Now that the accused Vikas Sachadeva has been arrested his wife, Divya Sachdeva spoke up against Zaira for making an issue when such an incident never happened.

“My husband was coming home from Delhi. His mamaji had passed away and he was not in the right frame of mind. He was feeling very low and asked for a blanket. He wanted to sleep. I am shocked at Zaira’s allegation. The police have taken my husband into custody. They came home this morning. Why did Zaira not raise an alarm then and there? Why did Zaira tweet 2 hours later? Zaira had her mother for company. Despite that, the two ladies chose not to make any noise, why?  My father is an ex-Army officer and my father-in-law is an ex-Income Tax officer. We know how important it is to respect a lady, our family upholds very high values. I can’t speak much on this cause i haven’t spoken to her yet. My husband is a family man. We have a 9-year-old child Vikas can never misbehave with any lady in any manner.”

Now Zaira Wasim’s mentor and co-star from ‘Dangal’ and ‘Secret Superstar’ Aamir Khan’s wife, Kiran Rao spoke up on the issue. The director was spotted last night at the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ and was quizzed about the Zaira Wasim case. Initially, the director didn’t want to comment but when prodded further she had this to say.

“It’s important that we raise our voice what we want to say but in her situation i would have brought it up in the plane , i think it would have been better to address it there and then with the person and the staff. But it’s important though that she spoke up about it and i hope the issue gets clarified.”
