Aanand L Rai reveals the tentative release time, for his movie with SRK

Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s untitled project with filmmaker Aanand L Rai has raised a lot of curiosity. Now, the director has spoken about the movie and revealed some details about its release date and its title. He said, “I feel honoured to work with him (Shah Rukh) and I will take some time for the film to move forward. I will take another year and a half. We are targeting 2018 December (for release). Nothing has been decided yet but we will announce the title very soon.” Reports were rife that the title of the movie is ‘Dwarf’ as Shah Rukh Khan plays a dwarf in the film. But, the makers haven’t yet locked in on a suitable title for the movie.

Recently, there were some rumours about SRK playing a double role in the movie, but the director has actively denied the same. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Reports suggest that Anushka is the leading lady whereas Katrina has a small part in the movie. Further details reveal that while Anushka will be playing a girl who his mentally challenged, Katrina will be seen as herself. It’s a reunion of sorts as the trio had worked together in YRF’s ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, back in 2012. However, in that movie, Katrina was the main lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan whereas Anushka Sharma was in a supporting role. But now, the tables have turned as Anushka has a meatier role than Katrina. This could possibly be because of Anushka’s last few films working well on critical front, while Katrina’s movies have been tanking at the box office. Anyway, coming back to the movie, Salman Khan has a cameo in the untitled movie. Surely, the Khans are bonding big time as SRK too had done a special appearance in Salman Khan’s last release ‘Tubelight’. Anyways, let’s wait to know more on the title and the release date.
