Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is basking under the success of his recently released film, OMG 2. The film is a sequel to the 2012 movie OMG: Oh My God. OMG 2 was released on 11 August and is creating a wave at the box office as well as among the audience. As the film is headlined by Akshay Kumar, he surprised his fans at the screening of the film.
Apart from Akshay, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in essential roles. OMG 2 story consists of an important social message on sex education, for which, the film has received ‘A’ certificate. Many movie buffs, including youngsters and parents, have shown their disapproval over the certification given by the Central Bureau of Film Certification (CBFC).
Aarush Varma files a petition for the removal of A certification from OMG 2
Speaking of the certification, Akshay Kumar also urged the film to receive a universal certification. Well, the actor Aarush Varma, who played the son of Pankaj Tripathi in the film, has filed a petition for the removal of the A certificate from OMG 2. In the petition, he wrote, “The entire purpose of making this film as much as I know from my director Amit Rai Sir was to open discussions on the need of Sex Education but unfortunately the film itself has become a subject of discussion with being given an A certificate. “
Further, he also wrote, “We were so many kids in the film and we never felt uncomfortable shooting the film. It is a film meant for children my age and also parents who are uncomfortable talking about Sex education. This film could have been an eye opener. Being a 16 year old I know the issues we face and there are so many things for which we do not find the right answer. “
Akshay Kumar surprises fans during OMG 2 screening
As the actor paid a surprise visit to the film screening. he said, “Kamaal ki baat bataoun, pehli adult film hai jo teenagers ke liye bani hai. Actually yeh sab school me dikhana chahiye. (This is the first adult film that is ade for teenagers. Actually, this should be shown in schools).” The actor, then thanked the audience for watching the film and showing their love for the sequel.
During the show, a couple of parents said, “We should start this petition to take off the Censor Board’s A rating.”
Akshay Kumar starter film is directed by Amit Rai and is being appreciated to speak about sex education in schools and social issues faced by teenagers. The film was released on 11 August and is running successfully in cinemas with houseful shows.
