Known to be selective and an underrated actor in Bollywood, Abhay Deol has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for this ongoing issue of banning Pakistani artistes in India. As the actor was addressing the media at the opening of 18th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, he chose to spoke about this controversy.
Abhay said, “If you want to ban anything to do with Pakistan, then go the distance. Don’t just ban the filmmakers, then ban imports, exports etc. When you do half a job, no one is going to take you seriously. I don’t take the government seriously.”

“Right now it’s not looking like you mean it, it just looks like it gets you a lot of publicity and makes noise. I will support if you think banning anything to do with Pakistan is going to help our jawans,” added the actor.
