Abhimanyu Dassani detested films as it took his mother Bhagyashree away from him

Bhagyashree was a popular face in the television and film industry. She appeared in many TV shows as well as Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu and Bhojpuri films. Though she appeared in many movies and daily soaps, she became an overnight star with ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ where she played the role of Suman, Salman Khan’s love interest. She has been out of showbiz for quite a long time and now her son Abhimanyu Dassani is all set to make his Bollywood debut with ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota‘.

The actor is currently on a promotional spree with his co-star Radhika Madan. During an interview with Bollywood Life, both were at their candid best. While interacting, Abhimanyu was asked what advice his mother Bhagyashree gave him. To which he said that he was quite possessive about his mother as a kid.

Abhimanyu also revealed that he hated his mom on television. “I was so protective and possessive about her that I couldn’t see her talking to someone else, be someone else’s. I was like she is my mother, she has to be right next to me. Films were taking my mother away from me, so I detested films for a long time,” added the actor. No child wants to share their mother with someone else. As a child, Abhimanyu wanted his mom to be his side and its natural.

Talking about ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, the movie has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Vasan Bala. It also has Gulshan Devaiah, Mahesh Manjrekar and Jimit Trivedi in pivotal roles.

The film is slated to hit the theatres on March 21.
