Abhishek Bachchan to star in a horror comedy! Deets inside

Abhishek Bachchan has been roped in for a horror comedy, which will be directed by the ‘Ragini MMS’ and ‘Phobia’ fame director Pawan Kripalani. Abhishek, who was raved for his performance in his recent release ‘Manmarziyaan’ will play the male protagonist in the movie.

In his two-decade-long career, Abhishek will be seen in this genre for the first time. A source close to the movie divulges that the movie is titled ‘Tantrik’, and will go on the floors next year in Mumbai. The director is looking for the female lead. “Pawan is still finalising the other locations and is also scouting for a leading lady opposite Abhishek,” added the source.

Pawan had earlier helmed a horror movie, ‘Darr @ the Mall’ starring Jimmy Sheirgill and Nushrat Bharucha. He has even admitted that he is a psycho-thriller geek. It would be great to see Abhishek in this genre which he has never explored before. We can’t wait to watch this movie. What about you?

Other than ‘Tantrik’, the ‘Guru’ actor also has Sarvesh Mewara’s upcoming flick ‘Gulab Jamun’ in his kitty. ‘Gulab Jamun’ will see the reunion of Abhishek and Aishwarya on-screen after eight long years. The couple was last seen together in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ in 2010.
