EXCLUSIVE: Abhishek Bachchan’s UNTOLD story: Directors didn’t want to launch me because I was Amitabh Bachchan’s son

Abhishek Bachchan is basking in the glory of his latest release, The Big Bull. His fans have been all praise for his performance but his films garnered some mixed reviews. Abhishek’s father and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan lauded his son for The Big Bull and took to his social media handles to pen a heartfelt note. But, did you know? Big B was one of the reasons why Abhishek got a late debut in Bollywood. Filmmakers were uncomfortable working with Abhishek as he was the son of such an iconic star. So it was difficult for AB Junior to bag his first role.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Abhishek revealed, “It took me a good amount of time to get my first film and I completely agree, understand and respect all the directors that were not comfortable working with me. I understand their point of view. At that point of time, it is very difficult as a young eager newcomer to understand, but I do now.”

He further added, “Life is not easy for anyone, like I said, at the end of the day you have to wake up every morning and fight for your place under the sun and life does not favour anybody and doesn’t give anybody exceptions. What life will give you an advantage of in one situation and will make it a disadvantage in another situation. So nature has this fantastic way of balance. You have to respect everybody’s journey, everybody’s struggle and just be positive through the whole thing.”
