Abhishek Bachchan and Irrfan Khan to come together for a road-trip comedy

With four films in hand, Abhishek Bachchan is going to have a busy 2017. We earlier reported about his association with Ronnie Screwvala for a film. And now, none other than the super talented Irrfan Khan has joined as junior Bachchan’s co-star in the same project.

“It’s a light-hearted comedy which will feature Abhishek and Irrfan as friends who, due to certain situations, are forced to take a road trip together. Both the actors loved the script and instantly agreed to be a part of it. The film is expected to roll early next year,” a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror.

“The makers want to cast a fresh face and auditions are currently underway,” the source added.

Akarsh Khurana, who earlier worked as a casting director for Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati- strarrer ‘Dum Maro Dum’, marks his directorial debut for this one. He has written the script in association with renowned writer Hussain Dalal.

Irrfan is now gearing up for the release of ‘Hindi Medium’ while Abhishek awaits his films with Prabhudheva and Nishikant Kamat to go on floors.
