There was a lot of buzz that Abhishek Bachchan and Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame were approached for the Hindi remake of a Tamil hit Oh My Kaduvale. One of the reports even suggested Hungama 2 actor Meezaan will also be brought on board. However, the official spokesperson for the movie has clarified that the news is untrue. The official spokesperson said, “This is with regards to the rumours that have been doing the rounds that “Abhishek Bachchan and Shalini Pandey have been approached for the Hindi remake of hit Tamil film ‘Oh My Kadavule’, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.” The spokesperson also added that as of now the makers are on the scripting stage and no actors have been finalized for the project.
Talking about Oh My Kadavule, the Tamil movie is a romantic fantasy film and it was written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. The film starred Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan, Sha Ra and M. S. Bhaskar. Vijay Sethupathi and Ramesh Thilak made cameo appearances. The movie was selected for official screening at International Indian Film Festival in Toronto, held in August 2020.

Speaking of Abhishek Bachchan, the actor is currently in Chennai working on the Hindi remake of Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7 with R. Parthiepan. Bachchan was in the news recently as he suffered a hand injury on the sets of his current movie. The actor flew down to Mumbai to get treated and took to social media to reveal that he is back in Chennai for his shoot.
R. Parthiepan, who wrote, directed and starred in Oththa Seruppu Size 7, is directing Abhishek Bachchan’s Hindi remake. The Hindi adaptation has been changed to appeal to the masses. Abhishek is also backing it under his banner.
