Abhishek Bachchan will be seen next in the crime thriller film, ‘Bob Biswas’ It is a spin-off to the 2012 thriller ‘Kahaani’ with starred Vidya Balan in the lead. Renowned Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee had played the role in Sujoy Ghosh’s film.
Now, Bachchan in a recent interview revealed why he thinks that his film is better than ‘Kaahani.’ Talking to Indian Express, the ‘Dhoom’ actor said: “I saw Kahaani last year during the lockdown for the first time. I finished almost 80 per cent of the shoot, then we had to break because of the lockdown and halfway through, one day I finally said that ‘okay, let me see this film,’ “I think our film is better. With all due respect to Sujoy, his daughter (Diya) is better than him.”

Recently, the trailer of the film was released and Abhishek looked unbelievably amazing in his character of Bob and fans have loved him in it and are looking forward to the film.
He also gained weight for his role in ‘Bob Biswas,’ talking about it in an interview with India Today, the ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ actor spoke about massive physical transformation and said: “I mean to put on the weight obviously shooting in Kolkata in winter when you can have Gud Sandesh and all the wonderful sweet food that Kolkata has, but mentally I got stuck because we had to shut down our shoot halfway through because of the lockdown and we were about 80 per cent complete. And, we had another 10-15 days of work left. Throughout the lockdown, I had to maintain that weight. That was tough.”
‘Bob Biswas’ is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment alongside Sujoy Ghosh’s Bound Script Production, and directed by debutante Diya Annapurna Ghosh.
The film also features Chitrangada Singh as the lead actress and will premiere on 3 December 2021 on ZEE5.
