Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan was recently seen campaigning for Labour MP Keith Vaz in the British city of Leicester. The actor was given a warm welcome of dholaks and confetti by the locals there. The area has a large Indian community who lined the streets to welcome the star guest among their midst. Later there was even an interactive and selfie taking session with fans.
Abhishek Bachchan said, “It just goes to show how diverse our population is and where all they are and it is great to be in touch with them.”
Abhishek Bachchan even shared a secret with his 9 year old fan there. He said, “I’ll tell you a secret, I hate all my films. Because I don’t think I am good enough. I wish I could do better. Whenever I go back and see them, I can just think of so many more ways I could have done a better job. So I get demoralised when I see my work. But I do watch it often to try and improve. So, that’s something you should always do. Never just sit back and be complacent. Always be hungry to improve yourself. And whatever you are best at, you should give it your all. But come back six months later and make sure you are improving. That means you are growing as a human being.”
On Twitter, Abhishek thanked Keith Vaz and Leicester for the ‘loving reception’:
