Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer was unveiled on Wednesday. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back as Nandini. Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer received a good response from fans who have been waiting for the sequel. Abhishek Bachchan too shared his excitement for the upcoming project.

Abhishek, who is wifey Aishwarya’s biggest supporter, shared a poster featuring the cast of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan sequel on his Instagram. The actor wrote, “The Cholas are back!!! Wishing the entire team loads of success!.”

Apart from Aishwarya Rai, the sequel also stars Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, and Vikram among others.

On Wednesday, Aishwarya dropped the trailer release news on her Instagram along with the caption, “Enter the world of intrigue and romance: #PS2 trailer from today #PonniyinSelvan2 #ManiRatnam.” Fans shared their excitement for Mani Ratnam directorial upcoming sequel.

A fan dropped a comment saying, “This movie will be a blockbuster.” Another fan commented, “Can’t wait queen.” “Slay queen,” wrote a fan. Another one commented, “Plz we want to see you.”

For the uninitiated, Aishwarya made her acting debut in Mani Ratnam’s film Iruvar. Aishwarya has worked with Mani Ratnam on Guru, Raavan, and Ponniyin Selvan 1. In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mani Ratnam was asked to reveal the best qualities about Aishwarya Rai and he said, “First, she’s a friend. She’s loving, caring and a very professional actor. She’ll work hard and she’ll give you her best.”

Ponniyin Selvan 1 was released on 30^th September, 2022. The sequel is slated to release on 28^th April, 2023.
