Abhishek Bachchan to star in ‘Shootout 3’?

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is apparently working on an intense action drama as his next, which will apparently be helmed by Sanjay Gupta, who had confirmed Abhishek’s casting in his next during the promotions of ‘Jazbaa’.

Speaking of the same, Abhishek tells DNA, “I am in the worst phase of my career right now, where I haven’t signed any films post-‘Housefull 3’. I have liked the idea of Sanjay’s film. It’s an intense gangster drama. We are definitely working on that film. But the team is reworking the script at the moment. Sanjay, too, is busy with ‘Kaabil’ and will direct this film only after that.”

A source from the production team reveals to the daily, “Sanjay who has made ‘Shootout At Wadala’ and ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ wanted to start the third Shootout film right away, but it took some time to take off. He is almost ready with the script now and will begin Shootout 3 with Abhi after he finishes shooting ‘Kaabil’ with Hrithik Roshan. The film will revolve around encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, who had killed as many as 80 anti-social elements. It’s a gritty action drama, true to the franchise.”
