Abhishek Bachchan to step into Gangster Chhota Rajan’s shoes

After working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Jazbaa’, director Sanjay Gupta is all set to work with Aishwarya’s hubby Abhishek Bachchan in his next project. The story will be based on author S Hussain Zaidi’s 2014 bestseller, ‘Byculla To Bangkok’.

Abhishek Bachchan will be seen essaying the role of a famous gangster named ‘Chhota Rajan’ from the 80’s and 90’s era. The story of the film is said to revolve around the nexus between the police, politicians, underworld, and mill owners.

According to a source “Abhishek’s role will be heavily modelled on Rajan’s life and style. The film will also show how Rajan became a major player in the underworld at that time. It will have a lot of style, charisma and heavy-duty dialogues. But the makers don’t want to talk about the film as of now.”

The film is reportedly titled “Ek Tha Gangster” and is scheduled to go on floors by January 2016.
