Abhishek Bachchan wishes Pa Amitabh Bachchan on his ‘second birthday’ with a throwback pic

August 2 is an important day in Amitabh Bachchan‘s life as on this day in 1982, he got his second life after a fatal accident on the sets of ‘Coolie’. Since then, the particular day is celebrated as the second birthday of the megastar.

Wishing his dad on his second birthday, Abhishek Bachchan shared a throwback picture of him with his dad and sister Shweta Bachchan with the caption that read: “Today- 2nd August we celebrate his second birthday as he was miraculously revived by the doctors on this day. Happy Birthday Pa! Love you.”

Amitabh Bachchan has also thanked his fans and well-wishers for wishing and remembering the day. He tweeted, “Many are they that remember this day with love and respect and with prayer .. I can only say I am blessed to have such gracious thoughts with me .. it is this love that carries me on each day .. it is a debt that I shall never be able to repay”.

For the unversed, it was during a fight sequence in ‘Coolie’ when Puneet Issar accidentally hit Mr. Bachchan’s abdomen that led to internal bleeding and he was taken to the hospital. He was even declared dead but the miracle happened after many surgeries and this is how on August 2, he got a new life.
