Abhishek Bachchan,Taapsee Pannu & others officially flag off the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Bollywood actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia and Shefali Shah were spotted at the prestigious Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne. They were joined by, Vaani Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Anurag Kashyap, Sona Mohapatra Aparna Sen, Nikkhil Advani and Shoojit Sircar. The celebs flagged off the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne to its physical form in Australia with its 13th edition.

Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2022 kicked off on August 12 and will conclude on August 20, 2022. This is the first time in two years that the festival is taking place in person.

Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and others took to the podium in presence of a special audience to announce this year’s program schedule with Taapsee Pannu’s Do Baaraa being the opening night film.

Abhishek Bachchan will be felicitated with the Leadership in Cinema Award at the 13th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2022. Speaking about being a part of this event, Abhishek Bachchan said, “I’m finally here in Melbourne and I am absolutely loving it! I’m looking forward to watch Do Baaraa. My almost entire family has represented India here and I’m very proud of it. I’m looking forward to being part of all the celebrations and I thank the government and Mitu to have me here. It feels great to be given the Leadership in Cinema award”.

Other events lined up apart from the screening of over 120 films are the Independence Day Celebrations of India and an array of panel discussions amongst other specially curated events.
