Abhishek Bachchan is a proud husband as Aishwarya received the Meryl Streep Award

Eternal beauty and drop dead gorgeous actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bedazzled everyone with her stunning appearance as she was honoured at the inaugural Meryl Streep Award for Excellence at the first Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards. Ash was accompanied by mother Vrinda and her cute little daughter Aaradhya.

Hubby Abhishek Bachchan couldn’t be by his wifey’s side as he is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Manmarziyaan‘. However, the actor wasted no time in expressing his happiness over Ash’s achievement and posted a very beautiful message for her on a micro-blogging site.

Sharing a lovely picture of Aaradhya hugging mommy Ash, Abhishek wrote, “And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT. The little one gives her a congratulatory hug, and I look on (to the photo) a very proud husband!

Aww…Now isn’t that the sweetest way to express his love and admiration for wifey Aishwarya?

Aishwarya was awarded the Meryl Streep Award for Excellence, for showcasing distinction in her craft and for expanding the role of women within the Entertainment industry. On the work front, both Abhishek and Aishwarya are all set to reunite after eight years as they will be starring in Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming film ‘Gulab Jamun’.
