Kartik Aaryan signs Pati Patni Aur Woh 2; film to go on floors soon- Report

Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is currently among the highest-paid actors in the industry. Known for his striking looks and impressive acting skills, Kartik continually surprises his fans with an exciting lineup of projects. His recent film, Chandu Champion, garnered praise for his incredible body transformation, leaving everyone in awe. According to reports, Kartik has signed a new project, marking his return to the comedy genre.

Kartik Aaryan signs Pati Patni Aur Woh sequel

Kartik Aaryan has finally agreed to star in the sequel of the 2019 blockbuster film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which was well-received for its engaging storyline. A source close to the project informed Bollywood Hungama that the script for the sequel has been finalised, and Kartik is thrilled to reprise his role. “Kartik loved the script of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh 2,’ and the makers are currently deciding who will play the part of ‘Woh’ in the film,” said the source. With a busy schedule ahead, Kartik has several films lined up, but the makers have secured his dates. Currently, Kartik is shooting for “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” and once that wraps up, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 will commence production.

In the previous film, actress Ananya Panday played the role of ‘Woh,’ sharing remarkable on-screen chemistry with Kartik. The sequel, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, is being backed by Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra, with Mudassar Aziz returning as the director. Discussing the box office performance of past films, the source highlighted that Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s Bad Newz crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark, while Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s film amassed a total box office collection of Rs. 618.85 crore, according to the trade portal Sacnilk.

On the professional front, Kartik has starred in several successful films, including Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Luka Chuppi, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. His upcoming film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, and is directed by Anees Bazmee. The movie is set to hit theatres during Diwali 2024.
