Actress Roopa Ganguly was rushed to a private nursing home in Calcutta, on Friday. The doctors said she was suffering from “small brain haematoma”. She is presently under observation and is recovering.

“Roopa Ganguly is admitted … with a small brain haematoma. She is absolutely stable and under observation,” the bulletin from hospital authority stated.
Ganguly also happens to be a member of BJP West Bengal State Committee. “It seems she suffered a minor cerebral attack. Doctors said she had a blurry vision and blood clots in her brain. I wish her a speedy recovery,” said Rahul Sinha, BJP National Secretary.
The actress has appeared in a number of acclaimed films including ‘Ek Din Achanak’, ‘Saugandh’, ;Kamla Ki Maut’ and more. Her last Bollywood stint was ‘Barfi’ wherein she played Ileana D’cruz’s mother. But, the television show ‘Mahabharat’ where she played Draupudi, led her to a major rise of fame.
