This actress who has worked with Salman, Akshay and Sanjay is embroiled in a drug racket

It was just some days back that filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma lashed out against police officials for targeting Tollywood celebs in the drug racket case. Well we only discovered now, that one amongst those targeted is actress Mumaith Khan who has worked with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt in quite a few Hindi movies, although in minor roles. The actress who is primarily a South siren is currently seen in the ‘Bigg Boss Telugu’ house. However, she has received a notice from the Excise Department and may soon have to quit the house. She has been accused of being involved in a drug racket case. The Special Investigating Team (SIT) has asked her to appear for interrogation regarding her involvement in the drug racket case on July 27, 2017. The Enforcement director Akun Sabharwal confirmed the same with TOI by saying, “Mumaith Khan will have to appear for questioning like the others who have been issued notices under Section 67 of NDPS Act. Mumaith is scheduled to appear before the SIT on July 27.” However, Mumaith will be given a choice of speaking to the SIT officials at a place of her convenience, unlike the male artists who were questioned at the SIT office in Akbari Bhavan at Nampally. A SIT official said, “But she will be questioned in Hyderabad.” He further said, “We contacted the show managers and the actress confirmed that she will be appearing before police for questioning.”

Reports suggest that many other Tollywood artists like Ravi Teja, Puri Jagannath, cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, Tarun Kumar and many others have also been accused in the drug racket case.
