Adhyayan Suman on toxic relationship with Kangana Ranaut: Have no regrets speaking against her

It is well-known that Shekhar Suman’s son, actor Adhyayan Suman was in a relationship with Kangana Ranaut. Kangana and Adhyayan first met on the sets of the film Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009) and soon they started dating. Their relationship lasted for a few months. After breaking up with Kangana Ranaut, Adhyayan Suman has been vocal about his relationship with her.

It was in 2017 that Adhyayan first opened up about his breakup with her. Back then, he had called the relationship ‘toxic’. For the uninitiated, the actor had made shocking allegations against her, including accusing her of performing ‘black magic’ on him. Now, in a new interview, Adhyayan revealed why he decided to speak about his breakup with Kangana publicly in 2017. The actor added that he has no regrets over what he said in the past.

Adhyayan told News18, “I don’t regret speaking about my relationship. I spoke about it like any human being would. I spoke about it at a point when people didn’t know about my side of the story. If you recall, there were no press conferences arranged. I never created a hullabaloo saying that things happened with me. It was just once that I spoke out of respect for that person and more importantly, for myself.”

Adhyayan Suman has said that he doesn’t regret speaking about ex Kangana Ranaut in 2017.

Furthermore, he clarified that it wasn’t a ‘publicity stunt’. He added, “If I was publicity hungry, I would’ve spoken about it back in 2009 when I had the relationship and not in 2017. What difference does it make to my career? You don’t get work because of your affairs but because of your talent. People judged me back then but then they came back and apologised to me after I spoke about my side of the story. I faced backlash but I don’t regret it at all.”

In an old interview with Bollywood Bubble, Adhyayan had called his relationship with Kangana ‘toxic’. The actor had revealed that he went through a lot at that time. He had said, “I think there is a lot that happened in that relationship emotionally. Because you are such a young impressionable mind, so for many years some things happened which were very difficult for me to get over.”

On the work front, Adhyayan made his acting debut with Haal-e-dil and later appeared in movies like Jashnn, Himmatwala, Heartless, Ishq Click among others. The actor was last seen in Chup: Revenge of the Artist.
