Adipurush team changes Bajrang’s ‘Kapda Tere Baap Ka’ dialogue – WATCH

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush released on 16 June which faced severe backlash on the dialogues of the movie. Director Om Raut and co-writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla decided to alter and re-work the dialogues. Now, a video that surfaced on Twitter shows the dialogue changes made in the new print of Adipurush.

Changes in the Adipurush Dialogue

The original dialogue which faced a lot of criticism was said by Devdatta Nage’s character Bajrang (Hanuman) in Adipurush. The dialogue was, “Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki.” In the video shared by a twitter user, it shows that it has now been changed to “Kapda teri Lanka ka, tel teri Lanka ka, aag bhi teri Lanka ki, aur jalegi bhi teri Lanka hi.”

Defending the dialogue in the movie, Manoj Muntashit said in an interview with Republic World, “It is not an error. It is a very meticulous thought process that has gone into writing the dialogues for Bajrang Bali and for all the characters. We have made it simple because we have to understand one thing if there are multiple characters in a film. All cannot speak the same language. There has to be a kind of diversion, a kind of division.”

Adipurush’s box office collection

Adipurush started off well with 140 crores at the box office worldwide on the first day. It continued to do well at the box office on the opening weekend as well. However, the movie experienced a significant decline in numbers starting from Monday and has remained in this state. The movie collected 100 crores on Day 3 (Sunday). But, it only managed to accumulate Rs 20 crores globally on Day 5 (Tuesday).

Directed by Om Raut, the movie stars Prabhas as Raghav (Ram) and Kriti Sanon as Janaki (Sita). In addition, it features Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravaan), Sunny Singh as Lankhesh and Devdatta Nage as Bajrang (Hanuman).
