Rani Mukerji – Adira is God’s greatest gift for us

Rani Mukerji today welcomed her first child, daughter Adira, and the actress says the baby is God’s greatest gift for her and husband Aditya Chopra.

A healthy Adira was born this morning at Breach Candy Hospital, here.

The 37-year-old actress thanked her fans, friends and well wishers for their “unconditional support and blessings”.

“I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans.

Today life has given us God’s greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives,” Rani said in a statement.

Yash Raj Films, headed by 44-year-old Aditya, made the announcement on their official Twitter account.

“Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named ‘Adira’,” the post read.

Wishes have started pouring in from Bollywood, with filmmaker Karan Johar, actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra being the first ones to congratulate the couple.
