Aditi Rao Hydari opens up on her role in ‘Padmavati’

The trailer and the first song ‘Ghoomar’, from the upcoming magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, have left a lasting impact on the audiences. Everybody has been waiting with bated breath for the release of this visually rich extravaganza. So, as we are all in love with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s avatars, there is one more actress whose look is yet to be unveiled. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari who plays the role of Ranveer Singh’s (Alauddin Khliji’s) wife in the movie hasn’t been shown in the trailer or the song. Her look has been kept under wraps.

So recently, the actress spoke her character in the movie and stated that even though she has a small role in the movie, she will leave a huge impact on the minds of the audiences. Said Aditi to a news agency, “It’s not a major role. When I signed on for ‘Padmavati’, I knew very well it was going to be a small part. But, Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir presents all his women so well. In ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram-Leela’, Richa Chadha had a brief role, but she made an impact. I am sure I will leave some impact in ‘Padmavati’. No one who works with Sanjay sir comes away without benefiting from the association. I want to be happy in what I do. Written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Padmavati’ is slated to release on December 1, 2017.
