Singer Adnan Sami, a former citizen of Pakistan and presently an Indian citizen, condemned the terror attack in Uri which was allegedly initiated by Pakistani terrorists. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Indian Army’s successful surgical strike destroying near about 40 terror camps in Pakistan. This invited him a lot of hatred and abuse on social media, especially from people of Pakistan. Sami has now opened up once more and says on Twitter that the outrage clearly proves his statement was taken personally.
Pakistanis r outraged by my earlier tweet. Their outburst clearly means they see Terrorist & Pakistan as the same! #selfgoal #stopterrorism

Earlier, Sami had written:
Big Congratulations to @PMOIndia & our brave Armed forces for a brilliant, successful & mature strategic strike against #terrorism ! #Salute

Following MNS’ demand of banning Pakistani artists in India and IMPAAÂ ruling the same, many wondered if Sami too would be asked to leave the country soon. However, no such occurrence has happened yet.
