After Oscars, another international film festival to pay tribute to Sridevi

The world woke up on 25th February with the sad news of actress Sridevi’s sudden death. The news spread like a wild fire and fans not just in the country but across the globe expressed their grief on the huge loss.

The 54-year-old actress in her career has been appreciated and awarded numerous times, for her performance and acting abilities. And looks like that hasn’t stopped even after her death.

The 16th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) next month will have a memorial tribute for her. They have decided to hold a screening of “Chandni”, one of the best performances of the actress. The gala will screen a 2K print of the 1989 hit film for the audiences.

Lastly, Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor recently flew to the Holy city of Haridwar to offer prayers for his wife and also conducted the customary rituals. Reportedly, Boney soon will be heading to Chennai in coming days. Prayers at Sridevi’s hometown are to take place on the 16th day following her demise, instead of the customary 13th day.
