After Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor to essay the role of a boxer in his next?

Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is currently busy shooting for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also stars  Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.

Earlier, it was reported that Shahid Kapoor will team up with director Raja Krishna Menon for his next. The director had also confirmed that he is planning to do a film with Shahid Kapoor, however, not much was revealed about the film. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Shahid Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of a boxer in the film. A source revealed, “Shahid will begin the prep for Raja’s film simultaneously with the prep for his other film, the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Both films require him to look lean and train in action. Raja’s team is currently on the lookout for a professional boxer who will train Shahid for the part. They are also looking for an actress to play his leading lady.”

Apart from this, the actor will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of South film ‘Arjun Reddy’.
