After Ranbir Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee tests COVID positive while filming Despatch; Actor in home quarantine

It was only a few days ago that Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Now, another actor from Bollywood has contracted the virus. We’re talking about Manjoy Bajpayee. Yes, Manoj Bajpayee has tested COVID positive whiling shooting for his upcoming movie Despatch. The actor was diagnosed with COVID 19 after the director of his movie ‘Despatch ‘ was infected with it. The shoot of Despatch has come to a complete halt and will resume in a couple of months now.

Manoj Bajpayee is currently under medical supervision and is recovering well due to medication. The ace-actor is in self-quarantine at his home. He is following all the necessary precautions to keep COVID at bay and jump back in action soon. Manjo Bajpayee’s team confirmed the news of him testing COVID positive. In a statement, they shared, “Manoj Bajpayee has tested Covid positive after his director was infected with it. The shoot has stopped and will resume in a couple of months. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.”

The actor was busy shooting for Despatch that is helmed by director Kanu Behl (of Titli fame). Despatch is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film will be shot at three locations – London, Delhi, and Mumbai, which also stars Shahana Goswami. An investigative thriller, Despatch sees Manoj as a man who gets sucked into the dirty underbelly of business and crime. The film is set in the world of crime and journalism, and Manoj starting shooting for it in February this year.

Apart from Despatch, Manoj will also be seen in the second part of his hit web-series The Family Man 2. Earlier supposed to release on February 19, The Family Man 2 was delayed due to known reasons. The Family Man 2 brings back the original cast along with Samantha Akkineni joining in. His film ‘Silence… Can You Hear It?’ is all set to March 26 on ZEE5.
