After RHTDM, no reunion for R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan, as former opts out from their next

It couldn’t have been a better reunion for actors Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan after a gap of 17 years. The duo who had earlier worked together in ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ (2001), was all set to team up again for filmmaker Navdeep Singh’s next project, a historical drama.

However, looks like the fans are in for a disappointment. R Madhavan has decided to back out from this project. The reason behind it is his shoulder injury. Confirming about him leaving the project, Madhavan has said to an agency, “Yes, I had to opt out as I had to do action in that. I am feeling so miserable because I was so looking forward to joining that team and working with them.” (Also Read: R Madhavan reveals why he considers himself ‘god’s own child’ in the film industry)

“It is a lovely story and a script and on top of that it is an Aanand L Rai’s production. I really wanted to be a part of it. I am hugely disappointed that I am not able to do it. (Working with Saif again) would have been really awesome. The injury kind of ruined everything,” added the actor.

At the moment, the actor is taking rest and recuperating after the surgery.

Well, we certainly are sad. It surely would have been one epic experience, watching Madhavan and Saif reunite.

Talking about this yet untitled project, it stars ‘Mukkabaaz’ actress Zoya Hussain as the female lead. Currently, Saif Ali Khan is in Rajasthan shooting for this film which even stars Sonakshi Sinha playing an interesting cameo in it.
