After Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan to work with Jawan director Atlee? Deets inside

Varun Dhawan will currently be seen in Bawaal alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film stands directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will have an OTT release on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July. As the actor is now busy promoting his film with Janhvi Kapoor, a report from ETimes is of the suggestion that Varun will begin filming for his next film with Atlee.

Speaking of this, the film will be co-produced by Atlee along with Murad Khetani and will be directed by Tamil director Kalees. While the film still stands untitled, it has been given a working title as VD18.

Varun Dhawan to begin filming for his next film

ETimes was informed by a source saying, “Varun Dhawan will start shooting for his Atlee film on July 16. The first schedule of the film is going to be shot on a set in Mumbai. Atlee will be on sets, barring the action and song sequences”. With this, there are speculations that this upcoming project is a remake of the Tamil movie titled Theri, which was also Atlee-directed.

Given this, Atlee also has directed the much awaited Jawan. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. Jawan prevue was released yesterday and is still trending on the second day. Fans can’t wait to watch SRK giving his best in various looks. The audience were also left spellbound with Deepika Padukone’s special appearance in prevue.

Speaking of Varun Dhawan in Bawaal, the film marks his first pairing with Janhvi Kapoor. The trailer for the film was released recently, and left everyone excited for the same. Yesterday (10 July), a song titled Kitna Pyaar Karte was released and it is already winning hearts.
