Director Meghna Gulzar recently gave a masterpiece to Hindi cinema with Vicky Kaushal in Sam Bahadur. The filmmaker ranks amongst the finest that our industry has ever offered. And after Sam Bahadur, she is now set for her next directorial. And reportedly, for her next film, Meghna Gulzar is teaming up with Sidharth Malhotra.

Sidharth Malhotra to star in Meghna Gulzar’s next directorial

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Sidharth Malhotra is teaming up with Meghna Gulzar for her next film. It has the backdrop of a horrifying true story. A source close to the development revealed, “Sid and Meghna Gulzar have been discussing a probable collaboration for a while now. And they have finally zeroed in on a subject whose narrative will take the nation by shock. It’s set against the backdrop of a horrifying true story. And the idea is to portray it with utmost sensitivity for the big screen. The film will go on floors by Mid-2024.”

The source further added that the director has done a thorough research on the subject in the last few years. She already has the source material in place for the subject. The source added, “She was deeply moved by all that happened and Sid resonated with her emotions on reading the script. Both stakeholders are looking forward to teaming up on this special project.”

As per the report, Junglee Pictures will be producing the film. The production house has previously collaborated with Meghna on Talwar and Raazi. Reportedly, Sid and Meghna will shoot for 2 months at real locations for the film. The team will begin their recce for the same in the first quarter of 2024.

Sidharth Malhotra upcoming films

Sid’s next is the aerial action film Yodha alongside Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. Post that, he is reportedly going to start shoot for a Dinesh Vijan film. It will allegedly star Janhvi Kapoor opposite him. Then, he has this film with Meghna in the pipeline.
