Lin’s full name is Linthoingambi Laishram and she is an Indian model, actress, and businesswoman from Manipur. The actress has been quite vocal about how she faced discrimination in the industry but how things are becoming better now. In an interview, she said, “I feel slowly but surely things are changing for actors from there, and more opportunities are coming along.”

Education qualification

After completing her formal education in Mumbai, Lin went to New York and completed an acting course at the famous Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She also took training in archery from the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur.

Lin’s movie career

Lin made her debut with a cameo role in Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s movie Om Shanti Om. She later gained recognition with her role as Bembem in the 2014 National award-winning movie Mary Kom alongside Priyanka Chopra. After that, she went on to feature in projects like Umrika, Rangoon, Axone, and Jaane Jaan, among others.

Lin was first Manipuri model to wear swimsuit on national television

Lin Laishram represented Manipur in the Miss North East 2008 pageant, where she secured the position of the first runner-up. She also went on to participate in the reality TV show Kingfisher Calendar Girl where she became the first Manipuri model who wore swimsuit on national television. This even led to many controversies in her hometown.

Love affair with Randeep

Lin Laishram and Randeep Hooda have an age gap of 10 years. The couple have remained tight-lipped about their relationship. Randeep made their relationship Insta official in 2022. Now, the couple is all set to exchange wedding vows in Manipuri style. They have decided to add a mythological twist by taking a leaf from the saga of Mahabharata.
