AIB Roast case: No interim relief for Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh

Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh were roasted by the team of AIB in 2014. Even other celebs like Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, etc. were a part of it. Well, it was a bold move by the actors to get roasted and the video got a negative response as it was said to be explicit for Indian audiences. FIRs were filed and the video had to be taken down from YouTube.

It created a big issue for Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh as an activist named Santosh Dundkar had filed a complaint against two actors with the chief metropolitan magistrate of Gurgaon court, stating that the show’s content was “vulgar, obscene… pornographic.” Later a Pune resident had also filed the complaint alleging obscenity during the event.

Well, Ranveer and Arjun had urged the court for an interim relief, but according to a report in PTI, the Bombay High Court has refused to grant any relief to the actors. A bench of justices R M Savant and Sarang Kotwal have told Ranveer and Arjun’s lawyer to first serve a copy of their plea to activist Santosh Dundkar.
