Filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon is riding high after gaining a huge amount of praises for his last venture ‘Airlift,’ starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. The movie which is based on a true story turned out to be the first one entering the 100 crore club in 2016.

Proving his ability as a Storyteller with this film, director Raja Krishna Menon has certainly made his name on the wish list of every big producer in Bollywood. Apparently, the director has been approached to helm the remake of Hollywood comedy-drama ‘Chef’ by a production house named Abundantia Entertainment.

This production house was associated with him on ‘Airlift’ as well along with Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment.

Sources say, “The filmmaker has been approached to direct Chef and the modalities are being worked out.”

Recently, when Menon was asked about his further plans which may include this remake, he said, “Chef is one of the scripts I am considering. I have seen the film and it is wonderful but I haven’t decided anything yet. The other films that I am considering aren’t remakes and they are scripts. It depends on what I can do on it.”

“I will definitely not make a frame by frame remake of any film. I don’t know how I can make it different and I will take all of this into consideration too before signing,” added the director.

Speculations are coming that probably this remake might star Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. The original movie is directed by Jon Favreau who also acted in the protagonist part of chef Carl Casper.

We eagerly await a confirmation from the makers soon.
