AIR’s Vividh Bharati joins Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate

Superstar Aamir Khan has been joined by AIR’s Vividh Bharti to promote  Satyamev Jayate ,and spread the awareness among the people of the country .This initiative will be beneficial due to the vast reach of the radio .

As per sources, The radio version of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is called ‘Awaaz unki jinhein fikr hai desh ki’. It is being broadcast at 3.30pm every Saturday on Vividh Bharati. Other stations on All India Radio will air it at 11.00am. Listeners can record their messages for the show on 022-2869 2709 on three days of the week, or email airamirkhan@gmail.com. The radio channel will share these reactions with the actor who will respond on air.

This news was confirmed by the station head , Rupali Rupak Kulkarni who said, “Calls will be recorded from Monday to Wednesday between 11.00am and 5.00pm. People who watch the telecast of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ on television on Sunday are welcome to phone in and share their experiences.”The topics discussed will be sexual exploitation of women and the interaction between police and citizens”It is imperative that women come out and voice their protest against abuse and molestation, particularly because it is widely rampant within the home, workplace, even the daily commute.”

Kulkarni further added.”The immense reach that Vividh Bharati has cannot be matched by other forms of media. Radio is accessible in the most remote villages of India where people do not read newspapers, in places which do not have access to satellite television. Given our responsibility as a public broadcaster we have been using this platform to spread awareness about pressing social issues even as we own the best library of Hindi music available anywhere in the world.”
