The leading ladies of Bollywood are no less than their male counterparts these days. Needless to say that the B-Town divas are matching up with their male counterparts by performing better and better every time they make it to the screen. Be it giving up on their glamorous avatar for their role or donning the hat of a stunt woman, B-town beauties are leaving no stone unturned to be the hero of the film. This year we saw Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Alia Bhatt going de-glam in their films.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose ‘Sarbjit’ recently made it to the theatres, was seen in a completely make-up free avatar as her role demanded. She played the role of Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur hailing from a small village based in Punjab and hence she had to look like one from the village. Well, it’s quite difficult to visualize Miss Universe going de-glam, but she did.
Next in the queue is Anushka Sharma, whose de-glam avatar got highlighted in the trailer of her upcoming film ‘Sultan’. She plays the role of a wrestler in the film and of course, a wrestler wouldn’t care about her looks when competing with the opponent inside a wrestling ring, right? On top of this, she also has to portray the character of a simple girl hailing from a village.
Bollywood’s most favourite kudi from the young brigade, Alia Bhatt, too is no less when it comes to doing anything that her role requires her to do, even if that means going completely de-glam and rugged in her upcoming film ‘Udta Punjab’. She is definitely the highlight of the trailer of ‘Udta Punjab’ wherein we can see her in the avatar of a village girl hailing from Bihar.
All three have done a fab job, but whose de-glam look did you like the most?
